Sarah P Duke Gardens- Beautiful botanic garden in the heart of Duke University
Eno River State Park- Lots of great trails, reach out if you want any suggestions!
Great for kids
Museum of Life and Science- Their butterfly conservatory is a highlight!
Durham Farmers Market- Saturday 8am-12pm, located in Durham’s Central Park, usually has live music
Miscellaneous
Sauna House- Treat yourself to some contrast therapy and/or a massage
The Scrap Exchange- Reuse arts center, thrift store and community space.

Coffee/Breakfast/Lunch
Cocoa Cinnamon - A Durham institution, 3 locations across town
Isaac’s Bagels - Right by the venue, nestled between two cute vintage clothing stores
Redstart Takeaway- Has a cute back patio and a little gift/grocery store
Monuts- Great donuts (as the name suggests) and breakfast sandwiches.
Ideals- Yummy deli with little Italian grocery inside. Make sure to get there early! Saltbox Seafood Joint - Fried fish plates from a James Beard awarded chef.

Nana’s- Our favorite restaurant, perfect for a fancy night out
Pizzeria Toro- Pizza spot right downtown
Viceroy- Indian place on Main st
Rose’s Noodles, Dumpling and Sweets- their belt noodles and ice cream sandwiches are the best!
Hutchin’s Garage- A chiller pizza spot on Geer. Fonda Lupita- A yummy low-key Mexican restaurant.
Bars
Louella - Wine bar and importantly, Lang’s former employer
The Green Room - Traditional pool hall with the nicest bartenders in Durham
Queeny’s- Great spot for late-night food
Kingfisher - Swanky cocktail bar
Delafia- Wine bar focused on natural and funky wines Surf Club- Dive bar with bocce ball
